Customer Service Representative (CSR)
*Requires life science disciplines

Job description:
The customer service representative is our primary customer interface and is responsible for handling day-to-day customer inquiries through emails (primarily) and phone calls; providing quotes and processing orders; providing order status updates and after-sales support; and working closely with other team members to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to customers on catalog products and customized biotech services. Respond to inbound customer inquiries via emails (primary) and phone in a timely and professional manner, including but not limited to requests for product pricing, availability, manuals, order status, and billing questions.
    • Prepare price quotations. Understand and clarify customer requirements, and recommend specific products or services based on the customer's needs as part of the quotation preparation process.
    • Follow up with customers on sales opportunities and close sales. Maintain sales goals and quotas by consistently adapting to changes in promotions, rules, prices, and fine-tuning sales pitch and process.
    • Process orders and provide order confirmation.
    • Provide after-sales support, including order updates, troubleshooting, and complaints.
    • Work closely with the production and shipping team to provide solutions and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in sales, marketing, and business development plans and activities to meet productivity & sales KPI goals.
  • Actively participate in team work and activities. Foster an attitude of continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • College diploma, Bachelor's or Master’s degree in life sciences, such as cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, or pharmaceutical science.
  • Customer service or inside sales experience is an asset.
  • Attend to details and be able to follow workflow SOPs.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, team player with good interpersonal communication skills; Possesses a relentless drive to learn and take responsibility.

Technical Account Manager (TAM)

Job description:
The Technical Account Manager takes full responsibility for the daily operation of customer service functions with focus on high level technical support and inside sales to achieve sales growth objectives. The Account Manager supports customers and helps close sale of a wide range of products and services, including custom services (gene/peptide/protein/antibody) and catalog products (ELISA kits, antibodies, proteins and biochemicals). The Technical Account Manager helps train and coach co-workers, and reports to the Account Manager / Team Lead. Working as a qualified Technical Account Manager at Biomatik, you have outstanding communications, organizational, technical support, sales closing, and training skills. You have a desire to work in a small business environment, enjoy a wide variety of responsibilities and challenges, and outstanding skills to foster customer retention and acquisition through effective strategies and marketing to achieve sales quotas.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leadership experience is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical skills & problem-solving skills, and ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.

Shipping Associate

Job description:
The Shipping Associate is responsible for shipping orders to the customer in a proper and timely manner, following all the rules and SOPs of the company, and carrying out other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Ship orders by following workflow SOPs
• Receive incoming shipments (unpack, verify products, and record)
• Prepare shipping documents including invoices, packing lists, customs, and export documents
• Prepare and print air waybills (via FedEx/UPS/DHL) and product labels
• Pick and pack items according to the packing list. Identify items for non-conformity or discrepancies
• Verify and send QC data and invoices to customers
• Work closely with the Production and Technical Support Team for related customer inquiries
• Organize and maintain shipping supplies to ensure they are in stock and in proper order
• Assist the Shipping Lead and work on other tasks assigned from time to time
• Actively participate in team work, team activities, and workflow improvements with a "can-do" attitude

Qualifications & Skills:
1. College diploma or bachelor's degree or equivalent.
2. Shipping or customer service experience is an asset.
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
